Interesting photo by famed Monon/L&N rail fan Gary W. Dolzall. His note on the back states, " "Louisville & Nashville - - #835 their lone F-2 (isnt she the last active F-2 in the U.S.?) sits with a new comer to the L&N - U23B #2704 ex MONON #605 at Earlington shops, Ky. On 9-6-71." The LN F-2 is really rebuilt from powertrain components of destroyed F7A 835 and carbody from ex-ACL F2A 324. Ex-MONON 605 GE, 11/1969, serial #37297
